Our angle: a star rating doesn't tell you what a place actually feels like, so we mine real reviews for the mood words guests use — quiet, lively, strong pressure, good value — and surface that alongside the rating.

How the Trust Score works

Every place gets a 0-100 Trust Score built from three things we can verify. Half comes from the Google rating itself (50 points). Just over a third comes from how many reviews back that rating up, on a log scale so one viral review can't skew things (35 points). The rest comes from how many distinct things reviewers actually mention about the place — service style, mood, cleanliness — capped at 15 points. A place with no reviewer detail beyond a star rating scores lower on that last part; it isn't a penalty, just an honest reflection of how much we could verify.
