A few real signals worth checking before you book: a legitimate place has a Google Business listing with real customer photos of the space and staff, not just stock interior shots; reviews that mention specific services, prices, or therapist names rather than only generic five-star text; and prices that are posted or easy to get a straight answer on before you commit. Red flags worth noticing: no photos at all, a business name that changes across platforms, aggressive street-side touting instead of a fixed address, or a listing with dozens of near-identical reviews posted in a short window. None of this is foolproof on its own, but stacking two or three of these signals — especially checking whether real, named-therapist reviews exist — is the fastest way to tell a genuine wellness spa from a listing worth skipping.
