A super nice location very nice stuff good restaurant amazing beach in front fairprice you can't ask for more
We were picked up at the top of the hill and led to Noi’s restaurant—a cute little place where we were given a fresh coconut, which was lovely in the heat. We ordered some food, but it took quite a while, so she asked if we wanted to check in first. They kindly brought the food over, which I appreciated. However, the food itself was pretty average: soggy spring rolls and fried rice with too much fish sauce. We didn’t finish it. The apartment is small but fine, and the space is used well. Still, there are a few things to note, as I can’t quite understand the many highly rated reviews after staying there. When we checked in, we only had one blanket for a family of four, and the place wasn’t cleaned properly—not a huge issue for us, but worth mentioning. Noi has planted beautiful trees and bushes in front of the patio to give some privacy, and it’s lovely waking up to the sound of the waves. However, the shade they create means that by 7:30 AM people are lying right in front of the fence until late afternoon. It didn’t feel private at all, and we had to step over towels and people to reach the beach. Coming back in felt awkward too, as the outdoor shower is right there, and it feels like everyone is watching. Any conversation on the patio is also easily overheard. The upstairs “bedrooms” are not safe for small children. Our kids are 3 and 5, and although the five-year-old would have been fine, we didn’t let them play up there alone—it isn’t secured, and they could fall. The downstairs bed is also quite tall, so a fall could hurt a toddler. We tried to book a snorkeling/fishing tour with Noi since her banner says she organizes them, but she never replied. My husband found her two days later, and she said it was only possible if we had our own fishing gear, so we’re not sure what’s going on there. Having the kitchen outside naturally attracts some wildlife, especially with the bins outside. And in Thailand—or any hot place—on a ground-floor unit, you have to expect the occasional critter. Overall, we had a good time, but for the price and the glowing reviews, we expected something closer to a little palace, which it definitely isn’t. It’s basic. We wouldn’t stay there again.
We both loved our stay at Noi’s Happy Stay on Ao Yon Beach. We stayed in one of the bungalows just past Sumphao Restaurant. To access the bungalow you turn down a small soi (road) just off the main road and a section of this soi is very steep, perhaps 60 degrees. At the bottom you will find Noi’s Happy Place Restaurant, here you will check in. The bungalow is about a 100m walk along the beach (in the sand) to the left and staff will assist you with any suitcases. The bungalow itself is literally on the beach, you are ten metres from the sea, amazing. The bungalow itself is divided into a dining and kitchen area, a bathroom and one bedroom with a lounging area. The bungalow is beautifully shaded from the sun and the views to the beach are to die for. The bungalow is basic but spotlessly clean and has all you need for a comfortable stay. Plenty of pots, pans and cutlery and cooking utensils. A large fridge is provided so you can stock up on essentials. AC and WIFI both worked great as did the shower. It is wonderful to lay in bed at night and listen to the waves rolling in the sea. The area is tranquil, peaceful and quiet. We ate several times at Noi’s and the food is fantastic, loved the pad thai. To access the main road you are better walking around 200 metres to the Flamingo Beach Club and then turn right and head up the soi to the road. The incline is a lot gentler here than at Noi’s. On the main road you will find a Tops convenience store, restaurants, massage shops and bike rentals. Once on the main road you can return via the soi where Noi’s is situated. Noi’s really is a little bit of paradise and we highly recommend staying there. But please be aware that if you are infirmed or incapacitated in any way then this place will not be for you account of beach access and steep slopes.
Wonderful location in the middle of one of the last quiet beaches in Phuket. Excellent service from madam Noi. Very clean rooms, spacious and comfortable One of the best massages on the island. One of the best and simple food around. Double shadow and views. Good quality alcohol. Fair prices. What is not to like? :) A Must-try!
Right on the beach, very romantic with all the lights, small but delicious menu, friendly people, sometimes minor language barriers
