An unforgettable experience! The location right by the river is genius and the treatment room was absolute top tier – you can really feel that this is a ritual, not just a service. A 90-minute massage effectively turns into a 3-hour retreat with all the intro and relaxation time included. Honest note: The massage technique itself isn't cosmically different from other high-end places, but the surroundings and atmosphere are unmatched. Top of the tops. Highly recommended!

We visited the spa with my husband for a Thai massage in December, 2025. We booked at the last minute through the hotel’s WhatsApp chat, and it was very convenient, they still had availability. Getting there was part of the experience: a private boat ride from the hotel with no queues or waiting to cross the river. The spa itself feels like a little kingdom, with parrots in cages and beautiful trees all around. Everything is very well organized, some staff help you with your shoes, others take care of the registration. The massage takes place in a private room with its own bathroom. I had a traditional Thai massage in pajamas and really enjoyed it. The place feels carefully preserved, as if the design and spirit of the past were intentionally kept alive, like stepping back 70 years in time. After the massage, we were invited to a relaxation room at the very top of the house, where they served tea and sweets. A lovely experience overall. I really liked it.

We had a pleasant experience at this spa, though it didn’t quite exceed our expectations. Service: The staff were highly trained and attentive from the moment we arrived. The shoe locker system was well-organized with numbered slots. We were welcomed with refreshing drinks and cold towels, and they even asked about our massage preferences beforehand, which was a thoughtful touch. Atmosphere: The spa exudes a luxurious wooden aesthetic, creating a serene and inviting ambiance. Everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained. Massage: The massage itself was good, and the staff were skilled. Despite only opting for a 60-minute session, he still felt relaxed. However, compared to other spas we’ve visited, it wasn’t the best experience we’ve had. Room: The spa room was well-equipped, clean, and had everything needed for a comfortable session. Gift & Snack: After the massage, we were given two snacks and a hot drink. The rice puff snack with sugar and salt was especially delicious. We also received a Yadom inhaler and some useful stretching techniques, which was a nice bonus. Location: If you’re staying at the Mandarin, you can take a boat across the river to reach the spa. Alternatively, driving there takes about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Overall: While the experience was enjoyable, I had higher expectations from this spa, which is why I’m rating it 4 stars.

The spa at Mandarin Oriental is the best I’ve experienced in Bangkok. You can arrive early to fill out a health questionnaire, enjoy some drinks and snacks, and fully relax before your treatment. I had a 90-minute massage in a private room, featuring the most comfortable and spacious infinity massage bed I’ve ever experienced. Although the session was only 90 minutes, it felt like I entered a state of deep sleep. I can’t wait to come back for a second visit

The spa at mandarin oriental was an amazing experience. I had high expectation for the spa and it didn’t disappoint. My therapist had the softest hands and she was highly skilled and professional, constantly checking my comfort. The Qi balance was very effective, I felt relieved right after and also improved my sleep on the day. Overall it was a luxurious and enjoyable experience. Area for improvement would be the architecture. The walk from the pier to the spa is strange, and there are lots of stairs inside the spa. Didn’t feel like a space designed for serenity.

Its really the finest spa in the world! The full experience is unforgettable. Starting from the boat ride in the river, walking between the plants and the amazing buildings, reaching to the spa location. They have considered every detail in the experience and service. Welcoming drink is really good. The massage rooms are a thai style and everything you need is provided in the room including the shower room and toilet. Not to forget that they are really really good in the massage and oil choices. After finishing your session you will enjoy a warm drink and a snack in the relaxing lounge.

We were taken by the hotel’s boat to the spa across the river. We were greeted by someone who helped us find our way to the spa house. The gardens leading up to the spa house were beautiful. The interiors were traditional with wood everywhere. It was quiet and serene. The place was quite clean. The staff were polite, friendly, and gentle in their talk and behaviour. I chose the Spirit of Isaan (2.5 hours) and a facial treatment (1.5 hrs) so it was almost the whole afternoon but so worth it. I was feeling quite relaxed after. The only slightly challenging part was communicating with the lady giving me the treatment as her English was quite limited and on a few occasions, we had to keep repeating to each other what we were trying to say so that the other person could understand. She was very nice though. It wasn’t the best spa treatment I’ve had, it was good, not bad at all though. I was on vacation and I was relaxed and feeling good about everything. We were given herbal drinks and a snack before and after treatments.

Super luxurious spa and massage place. Like the ambience and professional treatment. The 90 min massage went by so quickly, but I felt that the massage is not as good as typical Thai massage I received other venues in frequented in town. The masseur kind of massaged with some patterns rather than feeling the pain (stiff) points then phasize the areas.

The oriental spa has always been my dream list, and this year I finally visited as my own birthday treat, I was all the way in awe of the staffs from the hotel entrance - you will take a magical boat shuttle to the spa house, just from this it is dreamt to me already. Even before the massage started I already feel rewinded. I have to especially mention the impeccable hospitality I received from the receptionists, Praifon and Amy, their genuine smile at the very first second warmed my heart, they put so much effort in all details just to make sure I feel wonderful, and they introduce their selection with passion, just whet I showed a little interest. I couldn’t resist to pick up some more gift to myself! My masseuse Noom is also impressive, he glow with a unique serenity, I was surprised there are a 10 min meditation to begin with my treatment, and it made so much difference, in fact, I might never meditate so deeply ever. All his movement and strength are completely in sync with my heart, i will never be able to describe, until a point I had tears in my eyes out of the deep comforting feeling. I’ve never feel so cherished. Lastly I have to thank to the manager Benz, I took my time really to chill at the relaxation area, probably 30 mins or more. When I finally ready to walk out, I saw Benz, Amy, Praifon and all the lovely staffs holding the happy birthday sign, and sang the song for me! I was totally shocked, and feel so bad that I probably let them wait long time, and of course extremely delighted, I feel so special. Really thank you for this experience, from the bottom of my heart. I can’t wait to keep coming to back to this « home ».
