THAI Royal Orchid Lounge

A really good business class travel lounge. It's very big in a long, narrow setup. Loads of drink and meal choices along the way. You can get plenty of exercise by checking them all out. A big choice of dining experiences, and a range of chairs to suit most people's desires. One of the very best lounges it's been my pleasure to enjoy. Staff steller.

If you like Thai food like I do, this is the perfect airport lounge. It's located in Concourse D, on the upper floor of the airport lounges row. Friendly and helpful staff at the reception lobby. She recommended me to use this lounge instead of the smaller one in Concourse E closer to my departure gate. It's a 7-10 minute walk but it's worth it, since I have plenty of time during my transit. I first hit the shower, it's very clean with nice water pressure and no wait time. Then it's time to enjoy the food and beverages. I ordered Thai Sabai, one of the several signature cocktails. It's a bit too sour for my taste and will probably try the Orchid Margarita next time. It was during the dinner time and Chef Jom was at the kitchen counter introducing his dish, phad Thai noodles from Korat region and coconut coffee jelly. They are amazing! The food at the buffet is quite good as well. The staff is attentive and diligently removing any used plates. The lounge has many different seating areas for eating, relaxing or working.

If you have Star Alliance Gold status or are flying premium, having access to the Thai Airways lounge in Bangkok is a game-changer. Compared to the SQ lounges, this space is mind-blowingly huge. The entire experience felt defined by abundance—from the wide selection of high-quality food to the multiple open bars scattered throughout for easy drink access. A truly impressive "first-time" experience!

The toilet facilities could be better located and the availability of a disabled-friendly toilet was not readily apparent. Overall, the Thai Orchid Lounge delivers a positive experience, particularly with its comfortable seating, diverse food selection, and reliable internet connectivity. Though it may not reach the heights of luxury, it undoubtedly serves as a solid choice for business class travelers seeking a pleasant pre-flight retreat.

Solid Thai fare! The food was delicious from som tham, tom yum, local stir fries to delicious Thai milk tea!

Really a 4.5 star but round up. We were initially impressed by the decor. They had the plants (artificial) on many of the walls that added to the tropics ambiance yet the other finishes were contemporary giving you a comforting modern reassurance of the facility. Lost half a star because it just didn't feel very substantial in the food offering. They did have an omelet station, but they didn't have a noodle station that we seen in there other lounges. Service was still good. Facility clean.

Lounge is okkk, not really a lot of food selections but still not too bad. I like it that there’s selected food cooked fresh on the spot! Had pad Thai and it was delicious ~ 😋 …

Reasonable lounge. Wide range of food. The chairs are made for tall people so if you're under 2 meters (6 feet) they won't be comfortable. Power is hard to find. It is on the floor in a few places bit many chairs have no power.

New Royal Orchid Prestige Lounge that I was told about at check-in is much nicer than the old one. Loads of space. Reasonably good food (please look at EK BKK lounge for comparison), bar and shower. Was relatively empty on my arrival but some staff standing around chatting and leaning on the food areas didn't give a positive image. Otherwise, staff performance was good. Overall, a nice update but food selection could always improve.

Inspite of pandemic, this lounge keep open for those travellers at Suvarnabhumi and serve the Thai Airways and Star Alliance member. Not that big but sufficient enough for a layover before boarding. The food serve is not that much this time but it is considerate due to limited guest also. As always staff are always been attentive and hospitable.
